David has worked in South London as a portrait photographer since 1996.

Successful in both his choses careers, as a photographer and as a musician/composer, David has been on both sides of the camera since he was a small boy. Raised in Hollywood in a family of artists and actors, he was on stage from an early age as a virtuoso guitarit and has worked with, amongst many others, Mae West, David Bowie, Agnetta and Marc Bolan.

Taking up the camera in the 80s, David was trained in black and white silverprint techniques by two highly respected practitioners of the tradition - John Blakemore and Michael Birt. His work as a documentary anthropological photographer is widely collected and exhibited world-wide.

At a a time when the quality of darkroom work is being re-assessed and appreciated once again for its stability and long life, David is a 'revivalist' printer of the 'old is new' tradition, embracing both digital and darkroom technologies in his work. Currently one of the UK's finest silverprint printers, his unique style, technical excellence and compassionate studio manner attract a clientele who back year after year for quality work, portraits which are informed by years of living both behind and in the glare of the spotlight.
